Have you ever tried to help a family in need but didn’t know where to start? Does the list of resources feel overwhelming or out of date? Is your faith community regularly serving vulnerable children and families, but you wish you were more connected to other leaders engaging in this work as well? Do you have a list of resources, but you wish you knew how to connect to more?
This Foster Care Awareness Month, faith leaders across Long Beach, CA are invited to United for Families: A Resource Fair for Faith Leaders & Community Providers, an event designed to network, educate, and equip churches with the resources needed to support vulnerable children and families.
This gathering will connect churches and ministry leaders with local organizations that serve or desire to serve at-risk families, including those in foster care, family preservation, and transition-aged youth. By attending, faith leaders will gain a broader understanding of the needs in their community and practical ways to take action.
